Benefits of liposuction:
- Improved body contours
- Enhanced self-image
- Improved health
- Safe removal of localised fat
There are several types of liposuction treatment to choose from. The laser-assisted liposuction melts fat using a concentrated laser beam light. It is designed to lessen inflammation, bruising and bleeding. The power-assisted liposuction uses a cannula (a thin tube) to extract fat through small incisions. Liposuction for men most commonly uses the power-assisted cannula, especially with breast reduction and chest reduction liposuction.
Then there’s the traditional suction-assisted liposuction which uses a small cannula attached to a pressurised vacuum. Your surgeon should explain to you in detailed how each the pros and cons of each technique, and help you decide which is more suitable for you.
Two weeks before your scheduled liposuction treatment, you may be asked to refrain from taking aspirin and anti-inflammatory drugs.
To know if you make a good candidate for liposuction simply fill out our personal assessment form. A board-certified surgeon will review your information and provide a price estimate for the procedure.
