Breast Augmentation & Implants – Parramatta
Most women have looked in the mirror and had a moment reflecting on their breast contour. Whether they’re small, large or average breasts, they can have many implications when it comes to mental health. For women with asymmetrical (uneven) or micromastia (small) breasts, they may feel less like a woman and they can have lower self-esteem which may affect their quality of life. It is just normal for the left and right breast to differ a little bit. In fact, most women’s left breast is slightly larger than the right. But it shouldn’t be that noticeable. For those who feel that their breasts are out of proportion for their body, a breast augmentation offers long-term solution to this problem.
As one of the leading cosmetic providers on the planet, we offer complete information on all aspects of breast enhancement procedures. Our highly trained and board-certified surgeons will guide you through the decision making process, the day of your consultation, surgery, recovery and beyond. Aside from enhancing imperfect breasts, we also perform breast augmentation for reconstructive purposes to restore surgically removed breasts. We created a community where woman can connect and interact with other breast augmentation patients, professional surgeons and medical staff.
What happens during the consultation process?
You need to have realistic and positive expectations when considering any cosmetic procedure. Our surgeons will provide you with before and after photos to better understand the results you expect. You will have the experience to look at photos of real women with real results and compare your body shape and goals. This can help you manage your expectations when you are ready to take the next step to your surgery.
If you are considering this procedure, you can talk to one of our surgeons and you can expect your initial consultation to take an hour or more. Your surgeon will:
- Listen to your desires, goals, fears and expectations about the procedure
- Perform a thorough examination and assess your medical history
- Provide detailed information about insurance and financing options
- Tell you exactly what things he or she recommends and why
What are the limitations of the procedure?
While breast augmentation will make your breasts fuller and bigger, it will not move the breasts closer together or lift severe sagging breasts. The procedure is a tremendous help to women who seek fuller profile, who have lost breast volume due to weight changes, pregnancy, or those who have undergone surgical removal of the breasts and want to gain a natural look again.
Why you may want breast augmentation?
It can’t be as simple as you just want bigger breasts. You are not alone in deciding for yourself. Our surgeons will advise you on the exact size that will give you the figure you want. You may want breast augmentation to reconstruct your breasts following breast cancer surgery, or after preventive mastectomies (surgical removal of the breasts) because breast cancer runs in your family. Breast reconstruction involves the use of implants or using your own fats (autologous fat transfer) from your abdomen or thighs. If your breasts are asymmetrical, or malformed, then you are a good fit for the procedure. Whatever your starting point, you know that you want fuller and more appealing breasts. It is important that you must do the procedure for yourself and not to fulfill someone else’s desires.
Your breast augmentation surgery is done on an out-patient basis, but that doesn’t mean that it is considered as a minor surgery. After your consultation and examination, you will be able to estimate the length of time that you can expect the procedure to take and what your breasts will look like.
What you can expect after surgery?
You will be closely monitored and cared for during the first 24 to 48 hours in our state-of-the-art medical facilities until you are ready to go home. You will need to arrange with someone such as a family or friend to drive you home and help you. When you arrive home, it’s important to have a complete bed rest with pillows to support your back and arms. Place your medications within easy reach, and have ice packs available to place on your swollen breasts.
Your breasts will be supported by a surgical bra or elastic bandages. You are not allowed to do strenuous activities especially those that require heavy lifting. Doing such can reopen the wound and sutures. After 3 to 6 months, your breasts will look natural and fuller. Any swelling and bruising should be gone, and the scars are easily concealed. During this time, your breast implants will have settled into the desired locations, and your activity level should return to normal. Careful monitoring of the breasts is still necessary to check for any complications that may arise. Regularly visit your surgeon to assess the condition of your implants.
